Janet Rose Weis

OTTAWA - Janet Rose Weis passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Putnam Heritage Assisted Living in Ottawa at the age of 70 years old.  She was born on November 28th 1950 in Lima to the late Elmer A. Weis and Elizabeth C. (Callewaert) Weis Kreidler as the fourth of five children and their favorite daughter.  Her step-father, James Kreidler is deceased.

Janet attended elementary school at SPPS, was a 1969 graduate of Ottawa-Glandorf High School and a 1973 graduate of Bowling Green State University.

Survivors include two sons: Chad (Jennifer) Bhatti of Westerville and Daniel (Angela) Bhatti of Plainfield, IL; her five grandchildren: Allison, Ava, Benjamin, Mason, and Sterling, whom she adored; and siblings: Ronald (Marge) Weis of Marco Island, FL, John (Evie) Weis of Ottawa, Terry (Darlene) Kreidler of Denver, CO, Sherrie (James) Butler of Ottawa, Allan (Mary Jo) Kreidler of Lima and Sue Frey of Pandora.

She was also preceded in death by her brothers: Robert (Judy) Weis and Tom (Sandy) Weis.

Janet enjoyed many of the common aspects of life in Putnam County, but most of all she loved being a grandmother.  Second most, she loved spending time sharing life with friends.  Janet was loved by many and will be missed by all of us.  If you knew Janet, and want to remember her, then share a heartfelt smile with someone.  Simply reach out and call someone you have not spoken to in a while, and let them know you were thinking of them.

Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 21, 2020 at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.  Burial will follow in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Ottawa.  In, keeping with social distancing guidelines, visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
