Janette I. Bogard

JACKSON, MI -- Janette I. Bogard, 81, of Jackson, MI died 3:15 p.m. Friday, February 21, 2020 in Jackson, MI.  She was born August 26, 1938 in Toledo to the late Russell and Esther (Buckingham) Knepper.  On September 21, 1957 she married Kenneth Bogard, who preceded her in death on April 18, 2012.

Janette is survived by 3 children: Scott Bogard and Sherri Bogard, both of Jackson, MI and Debbie Bogard of Hornell, NY; 5 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister:  Peggy Gawecki of Carlsbad, CA and a sister-in-law:  Nora Knepper of Leipsic.

She is preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Knepper and a sister, Patty (Urban) Knueven.

Janette was a homemaker and a member of Grace Baptist Church. Her joy in life was helping others.

The funeral service will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday, February 29, 2020 at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic with Pastor Brian Hendrick officiating.  Burial will follow in Sugar Ridge Cemetery, Leipsic.  Visitation will be Friday from 2 to 8 p.m. and again from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
