Janice A. Barber

OTTAWA - Janice A. Barber, 76, of Ottawa died at 8:15 a.m. Monday, June 6, 2016 at The Meadows of Ottawa. She was born February 25, 1940 in Lima to the late Warren and Beatrice (Kern) Fessler. On June 20, 1965 she married C. Dan Barber who died April 25, 2011.

She is survived by her daughter: Kim (Eric) Hartzell of Fenton, MI; a grandson: Nathaniel Hartzell; and a brother: Dr. Ron (Carol) Fessler of Ottawa. Janice was also preceded in death by a daughter: Lisa Rose Barber.

Janice worked at Hawkey's Pharmacy, formerly of Ottawa. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Ottawa. She enjoyed animals, reading, and traveling.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 10, 2016 at Trinity United Methodist Church, Ottawa with Pastor Lynda Lockwood officiating. Burial will follow in Harman Cemetery, Gilboa. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church.

Memorials may be made to Putnam County Hospice or to Trinity United Methodist Church.
