Jean Combs

OTTAWA - Jean Combs, 86, of Ottawa died 11:13 a.m., Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Lima Memorial Hospital.  She was born September 19, 1934 in Hamler to the late Walter and Eleanor (Greetham) Snow.  On September 4, 1954, she married George W. Combs.  He died December 23, 2014.

Survivors include two children: Darrell (Marge) Combs of Ottawa and Lori Young of Ottawa; a son-in-law, Herbert Radabaugh of Columbus Grove; seven grandchildren: Brian Dearth, Connie McDougle, Jason Moore, Scott Moore, Joni Moore, Lacy Vogt and Kelly Morales; eighteen great-grandchildren; five great great-grandchildren; two sisters: Judy (Harold) Berger of Port Clinton and Sandy Petersen of Leipsic; and a sister-in-law, Charlotte Snow of Fostoria.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Darlene Radabaugh; a grandson, Michael Moore; two sisters: Wilma (Don) Johnson and Donna (Bernard) Berger; and a brother, John Snow.

Jean retired as director of the Putnam County Board of Elections.  She enjoyed vacationing, stopping for ice cream whenever possible and loved her dog, Sammy. Through faith, Jean followed God's vision and was a founding member of Free Christian Church of God in Continental.

Funeral service will begin 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at Free Christian Church of God, Continental with Rev. James Fry officiating.  Burial will follow in Center Cemetery, Leipsic.  Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m., Monday, June 28, 2021 at Free Christian Church of God and again one hour prior to the funeral service on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at the church.

Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to the church.
