GLANDORF – Jean A. Killen, 75, of Glandorf, passed away at 1:51 a.m. on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 19, 1950, in Findlay to the late Albert and Annabell (Casper) Doersam. On January 17, 1975, she married Larry Killen, who survives in Glandorf.
Other survivors include three children: Joe (Deanna) Killen of Marblehead, Ryan (Sheryl) Killen of Powell and Chad (Kimberly) Killen of West Chester; six grandchildren: Kirsten Killen, Keira Killen, Taylor Killen, Rylee Killen, Charlotte Killen and Miley Killen; four siblings: Ann Bell of Mt. Blanchard, Patsy (Joe) Rice of Menter, twin sister Jane Jolliff of Green Camp and Michael (Rhonda) Doersam of Covington, KY; and a sister-in-law, Kathleen Doersam of Upper Sandusky.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Bret Killen; a brother, Russell Doersam; and two brothers-in-law: Joe Bell and Tom Jolliff.
Jean graduated from Heidelberg University, Tiffin and retired after 25 years as a math and science teacher for Elida High School. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Ottawa and was involved in the Batten Disease Support and Research Association. Jean was a lifetime caregiver, loved music and enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren.
Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, September 8, 2025, at Trinity United Methodist Church, Ottawa with Pastor Monica Kleman officiating. Burial will follow at Truro Cemetery, Columbus Grove. Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church.
