Jeanette I. Ruhe

OTTAWA - Jeanette I. Ruhe, 90, of Ottawa died 1:54 p.m. Monday, July 3, 2017 at Lima Memorial Hospital.   She was born September 3, 1926 in Ottoville to the late Edward and Matilda (Weber) Eickholt.  On February 9, 1949, she married E. James Ruhe, who died March 26, 2000.

She is survived by four sons: Duane "Max" Ruhe of Sarasota, FL, Greg (Loreen) Ruhe of Glandorf, Mark Ruhe of Findlay and Tim (Ellen) Ruhe of Ottawa. ; 6 grandchildren: Ross (Kelly) Ruhe, Jaclyn (Todd) Noirot, Kyle (Shannon) Ruhe, Shannon Ruhe, Tiffany (Ryan) Maag, and Taryn (Brian) Jordan; 9 great-grandchildren; and 3 sisters:  Norma Smith of Lima, Doris German of Ottawa and Lillian Kohlrieser of Port Charlotte, FL

Jeanette is preceded in death by 2 sisters:  Evelyn Brinkman and Lucille "Lucy" Mangas and a brother:  Kenneth Eickholt.

Jeanette retired from the Putnam County Board of Elections. She was a devoted woman to her faith and was a  member of  Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa.  She was also a member of the C. L. of C.  She enjoyed spending her winters in Florida.  She also enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids.  She was also a great card player.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Matt Jozefiak officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday from 2 to 8 p.m. at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where a scripture service will be held at 7:50 p.m.
