Jeanette M. Dangler
OTTAWA – Jeanette M. Dangler, 77, of Ottawa died 4:36 p.m. Monday, June 11, 2012 at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay. She was born September 4, 1934 to the late Albert and Leona (Schmersal) Maag. On February 22, 1955 she married Garold L. Dangler, who preceded her in death November 29, 1971.
Surviving are her children: Terry Ann (Eugene) Heuerman of Cloverdale, Judy (Jim) Garrick of Ottawa, Leonard (Penny) Dangler of Ottawa, and Garold (Carolann) Dangler, Jr. of Leipsic; 6 grandchildren: Chad Heuerman, Garrod Dangler, Shawn Heuerman who is currently stationed in Afghanistan, Quentin Shafer, Jacob Garrick, and Josh Garrick; 4 great-grandchildren: Logan Heuerman, Aden Heuerman, Wyatt Heuerman, and Mason Garrick is on the way; 3 sisters: Carol Parys of Coldwater, MI, Georgie (Art) Westrick of New Bavaria, and Bernice Drerup of Delphos; 2 brothers: Clayton (Ellen) Maag of Leipsic and Mike (Angie) Maag of Glandorf; and a sister-in-law: Lillian (Charles) Bratton of Danville.
She is preceded in death by a brother: William J. Maag; 2 brothers-in-law: Leo Drerup and Wendell Dangler; a sister-in-law: Willisene M. Dangler; and longtime companion: Don McClure.
Jeanette was a homemaker and a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa. She was a member of the Ottawa VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Glandorf Catholic Ladies of Columbia. She was active in the Ottawa Senior Citizens Center and enjoyed gardening, the outdoors, and all kinds of crafts. Her greatest loves were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 15, 2012 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa. Father Alfons Minja will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where a scripture service will be held at 2:30 p.m., a VFW Ladies Auxiliary service at 7:00 p.m., and a C. L. of C. service at 7:30 p.m.
