Jeanette K. Meyerhoffer
GLANDORF – Jeanette K. Meyerhoffer, 91, of Glandorf, passed away at 10:35 a.m. on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at her residence surrounded by family. She was born on July 11, 1930 in Lima to the late Paul and Gertrude (Barrington) Minaugh. On June 20, 1953, she married Thomas Meyerhoffer, who preceded her in death on June 3, 1992.
Survivors include seven children: Mary Jo (Jeff) Schroeder of Glandorf, Margaret Thompson of Ottawa, Jim (Julie) Meyerhoffer, Bob Meyerhoffer, both of Glandorf, Julia (Thomas) Higbie of Jenera, Rita (Mark) Kiene and Jane (Nick) Kaufman, both of Glandorf; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and one on the way; and a sister, Paula Teeters of Wapakoneta.
She was also preceded in death by two infant children: Mary Ann Meyerhoffer and Charles Meyerhoffer; a great-grandson, Merl Higbie; a son-in-law, Dan Thompson; and four sisters: Eileen Minaugh, Ann Wilson, Rose Martin and Therese Preble.
Jeanette was a 1948 graduate of St. Rose High School, Lima. She retired in 1994 from St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima where she worked as a registered nurse. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf, its Altar Rosary Society, Catholic Ladies of Columbia, church choir and Ohio Polka Boosters. She was on the Putnam County ADAMHS Board for Mental Health Services as well as a Board Member for the OSU Extension Lifelong Learning Classes. Jeanette loved spending time with her family and grandchildren and always had something cooking in the kitchen.
A funeral mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2022 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf with Fr. Tony Fortman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 – 8 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2022 with a scripture service at 1:45 p.m. and again on Saturday one hour prior to the mass at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Putnam County CAP or Putnam County Homecare and Hospice.
