Jeanine Ann Keyes

OAKWOOD - Jeanine Ann Keyes, age 51, of Oakwood, Ohio, peacefully passed away in her sleep on Sunday, September 8th, 2024. Jeanine was born on June 18th, 1973, to Erhard "Bud" and Marsha (Dodge) Henke and grew up in Oakwood with her beloved sisters, Joy Lynn Henke Rogers & Jan Alee Henke Scalzo.

"Nean" attended Oakwood Elementary and the Defiance Seventh Day Adventist School. She later graduated high school from Mount Vernon Academy, where she met the love of her life, Johnathan Keyes. Jeanine and John were married on August 7th, 1994, in Toledo, Ohio. Together, they welcomed the joys of her life, Johnathan & Nathan. Jeanine and John raised their family to love and honor their creator and savior, Jesus Christ.

She was a homemaker and was employed for 26 years by Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery of NW Ohio and then Dr. Pittman Dental Group. Later, she worked for Northwest Physical Therapy; most presently, she worked for Cooper Farms. Jeanine was active in the community and church and fiercely loved her friends, family, and especially her boys.

Jeanine is survived by her husband, John Keyes, and her two boys, Johnathan (Emily) & Nathan (Bianca); her parents, Bud & Marsha Henke; her two sisters, Joy Rogers & Jan (Andre) Scalzo, and her many beloved nieces and nephews.

Her grandparents, Dan & Eva Dodge and Erhard & Alice Henke, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will begin 12:00 PM on Friday, September 13th, 2024 at the Trinity Seventh Day Adventist Church in Defiance, Ohio.  The viewing will be held from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM, the funeral from 12:00 - 1:00 PM, and a luncheon from 1:00 - 2:00 PM. at the church.
