Jeffery E. Gerdeman

OTTAWA - Jeffery E. Gerdeman, 48, of Ottawa died at 2:15 a.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at his residence. He was born November 8, 1968 in Lima to Linus and Rosemary (Otto) Gerdeman.  His father is deceased.  His mother survives in Ottawa.  On January 17, 1998, he married Lisa Wenzinger who survives in Ottawa.

Also surviving are two children, Cody Gerdeman and Taylor Gerdeman both of Ottawa; a brother, Gary (Pat) Gerdeman of Ottawa; four sisters, Judy (Cliff) Knapp of Delta, Nancy (Jerry) Niese of Ottawa, Cheri (Roger) Niese of Ottawa, and Amy (Mike) Gerding of Glandorf; a brother-in-law, Denny Kuhlman of Ottawa; and a sister-in-law, Lisa Gerdeman of Ottawa. He was preceded in death by a brother, Denny Gerdeman and a sister, Deb Kuhlman.

Jeff was an Electronics Technician at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf. He loved hunting and fishing and was a member of Leipsic Fish and Hunt Club. Jeff was a 4-H advisor, raised show cattle, and enjoyed being in the outdoors.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 9:00 a.m. Saturday,  June 3, 2017 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf with Fr. Tony Fortman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and 2 to 8 p.m. on Friday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where there will be a scripture service at 1:45 p.m. on Friday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Putnam County Hospice or to James Cancer Research at Ohio State University.
