Jeffrey Allen Brinkman

LIMA – Jeffrey Allen Brinkman, 58, of Lima, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at his residence.  He was born on February 15, 1965 at USAF Lockbourne AF Base, Columbus, OH to Raymond Benton and Ruth Ann (Marriott) Stechschulte.  His father preceded him in death and his mother survives in Ottawa.  On May 28, 2016, he married Michele Heer, and she survives in Lima.

Jeffrey is also survived by two brothers: Jon Paul (Laura) Brinkman and Joel (Marmie) Brinkman, both of Thousand Oaks, CA.

He was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Harold Brinkman.

Jeffrey was a 1983 graduate of Ottawa-Glandorf High School.  He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1983-1987.  Jeffrey then opened and operated the Video Experience Store in downtown Lima for over 25 years. He was a former member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf, where he served as a mass server during his school days. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeye and Cleveland Cavaliers fan and loved spending time with his friends and family.

Funeral Mass will begin 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf with Fr. Matt Keller officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military rites by the Ottawa American Legion, VFW, Amvets and DAV.  Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, prior to the Mass at the church.
