Jennifer Catherine Honigford

OTTOVILLE - Jennifer Catherine Honigford, 34, went to be with Jesus at 1:11 p.m., Friday, March 4, 2022 at the James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute after a 5-plus year battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

Jennifer was born on January 31, 1988 in Lima to Randall and Joyce (Fischer) Honigford, and they survive her in Ottoville.

Also surviving are her sister Jessica Crawford (Christopher) of Delphos, her brother Matthew Honigford (Samantha Judy) of Ottoville, her nephew Andrew Crawford and her niece Caroline Jennifer Crawford. She is also survived by her grandparents Donald and Diana Fischer of Kalida, many aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as good friends Kristen, Morgan, Anthony and many others met through her years at Cedar Point, service projects and through her cancer journey.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Gerald and Carol Honigford.

Jennifer attended Kalida Local Schools for many years, before graduating from Ottoville High School in 2006. She was a former employee of Small World Child Development Center in Ottoville.

She loved art and was proud of the many projects she worked on, classes she taught and pieces she created and sold over the years. Jennifer also loved animals, especially cats, dogs and elephants. She is resting in Heaven with her beloved cat, Kodak and her dog Grace.

Jennifer loved nothing more than playing with and caring for her nephew Andrew and Samantha's daughter Lizzie. She was so excited and proud to have a niece on the way, due in March.

Even through her sickest days with this evil disease, you could always find Jennifer singing along to her favorite Christian music. She lived for the Lord and took comfort in the fact that she was saved by Jesus for heaven. Her favorite number, 11, is the number of the archangel Michael.

The family is so grateful for the extra years and memories with Jennifer, that would not have been possible without the bone marrow transplant, provided by her generous bone marrow donor Jake.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday March 26, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Ottoville, officiated by the Rev. Jerry Schetter and the Rev. Dennis Walsh.

A celebration of life will be held at Love-Heitmeyer Funeral Home, 16085 OH-634 Ft. Jennings, OH 45844, on Friday March 25, 2022 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. A scripture service will be held at 1:45 p.m.
