Jenny McDaniel

OTTAWA – Jenny McDaniel, 77, of Ottawa, died 4:41 a.m., Saturday, September 10, 2022 at Bridge Hospice, Findlay. She was born September 6, 1945 in Allen County to the late Clarence and Geneva (Amstutz) Frey.  On March 12, 1971, she married John W. McDaniel. He died October 6, 2021.

Survivors include five siblings: J. W. (Nancy) Frey of Bowling Green, Robert Dennis (Jackie) Frey of Bluffton, Julie Powell of Sun City, AZ, Greg (Chari) Frey of Pandora and Kathy Cervantes of Leipsic; a sister-in-law, Cathy Frey of Michigan.

She was preceded in death by three brothers: Ron, Gary and Jimmy Lowell Frey; two brothers-in-law: George Powell; and Andy Cervantes and a sister-in-law, Marlene Frey.

Jenny graduated from The Ohio State University and was a lifelong OSU fan. She was a retired teacher.  She attended Gilboa United Methodist Church. Jenny loved working with ceramics and enjoyed spending time with her beloved dogs, Bella and Maggie.

A memorial service will begin 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 5, 2022 at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa with Pastor Ruth Carter-Crist officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
