Jeremy J. Sharp

OAKWOOD -- Jeremy J. Sharp, 39, of Oakwood went to be in the loving arms of Jesus August 15, 2018, finally free from his long struggles with addiction.  He was born October 29, 1978 to his loving mother, Shelly Sharp, who survives in Oakwood.

He is also survived by his beloved grandmother, Shirley Sharp; 3 uncles, Gregory (Marcia) Sharp, Jeffrey Sharp and Jason Ponder; 2 aunts, Sherry (Bud) Schilt and Nanette Sharp; along with cousins, Bryan, Holly, Justus, Heath, Alexis, Tyson and Charity and their families.

Jeremy also had a second family, the love of his life and best friend, Michelle Sherry and her children and grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Ned Sharp; and great-grandmothers, Faye Sharp and Ruby Powell.

Jeremy was a member of Twin Oaks United Methodist Church and also attended Bethel Christian Church.  He worked construction for many years and most recently Cooper Farms.  He loved the outdoors and his dogs.  Jeremy was so talented with his hands and could work on, and fix nearly anything.  He was a loyal friend.  He is now with his special friends in heaven, who he missed so much, and his family members who have gone before him.

There will be a memorial service at 7:00 p.m. Monday, August 20, 2018 at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Oakwood with Pastor Chris Baker officiating.  Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
