Jesse James Bohrer
Jesse James Bohrer, 49 passed away on May 17, 2025, in Seattle, Washington. He was born on September 8,1975 to Marilyn (Schnipke) and Bruce Bohrer. His father preceded him in death in 2014 and his mother survives in Ottawa, Ohio with her husband Bruce Dunham.
The true light and love of his life was his daughter, Ella Marie. His heart was hers from the minute she was born. He would've moved mountains to protect her and loved spending time with her. She survives along with her mother Rachel (Landwehr).
Besides being a father and a son, Jesse was the big brother to Justin Cody (Lindsey) Bohrer and Chelsea (Rudy) Beining. He will forever be remembered by them along with their spouses and children. He is also survived by his Grandma Dolorosa Schnipke and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his Grandparents Raymond and Doris Bohrer, his Grandpa Othmar Schnipke and his baby brother Patrick.
Jesse was a graduate of Ottawa Glandorf High School and attended the Ohio State University. He was a forever student, never putting a cap on his learning. Jesse's true passions were technology, marketing and entrepreneurship. Most recently, he took great pride in his work with drones and was about to undertake the mapping of the bottom of Puget Sound in Seattle Washington with his partners in Midwest Drone Services.
To most who knew him, he was Jess, the life of the party. He was a huge Buckeye fan and an amazing guitar player.
But to those who really knew him, those that could be patient, understanding and forgiving, especially his fiancé, Brenda Fehlings, knew that he truly had a kind heart, he could be the biggest teddy bear, your strongest supporter, and your most loyal protector.
Jesse was a friend to people who were struggling with addictions and suffering mentally or physically. He had plans to make real change for the people who needed it most, including himself.
There will be a memorial service at the K of C in Ottawa on Friday, June 6th at 3 p.m. followed by a celebration of life until 7 p.m. All who knew and loved Jesse are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to NAMI at www.namifourcounty.org
