Jesse Rodriguez

LEIPSIC – Jesse Rodriguez, 68 of Leipsic died 10:49 a.m., Friday, April 8, 2022 at his residence.  He was born December 3 1953 in Houston, TX to the late George and Simona (Bermea) Rodriguez.  On October 5, 1970 he married Irma Quintero and she survives in Leipsic.

Other survivors include four children: Jesse "Joshua" (Kelly) Rodriguez of Hilliard, Reuben (Melissa Wolford) Rodriguez of Leipsic, Nathan (Monica Torres) Rodriguez of Columbus and Ruth (Kevin) Gonzales of Fostoria; five grandchildren: Rebecca Lester, Stephanie Lester, Ryker Gonzales, Laila Rodriguez and Malachi Rodriguez; four great-grandchildren: Kayden Lester, Brayden Lomeli, Maizie Schroeder and Tegan Schroeder; and nine siblings: Gloria Salinas of Leipsic, Lorenza Gutierrez of Ottawa, George Jr. (Lanette) Rodriguez of Antwerp, Stella (Juan) Martinez of Defiance, Lydia (Rey) Deleon of South Haven, MI, Harry (Sarah) Rodriguez of Cecil, Reuben (Pam) Rodriguez of Leipsic, Deb (Jason) Oliver of Findlay and Laura (Mark) Pedroza of Leipsic.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Ernestina Rodriguez and a brother-in-law, Juan Gutierrez.

Jesse retired from GM Foundry in Defiance after 30 years.  He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, Leipsic where he was the Superintendent, Treasurer and taught Sunday School.  He loved to play tennis, reading, carpentry, camping and attending the kids and grandkids sporting events.  Jesse was a very big OSU buckeye fan!

Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at the Church of the Nazarene, Leipsic with Pastors Jed and Jennifer Brake officiating.  Visitation will be from 2 to 8 pm Monday at LOVE -HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic and one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the church.
