FORT JENNINGS - Jimmy C. Spencer, 64, of Fort Jennings died at 6:04 p.m. Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Lima Memorial Health System.

He was born on May 1, 1953 in Lima to the late Howard and Irene (Bigelow) Spencer.  On November 8, 1975, he married Nancy Miller who survives in Fort Jennings.

Survivors also include two sons, Justin (Nickie) Spencer of Cloverdale and Weston Spencer of Ottoville; two grandsons, Chaz and Zachary Spencer; a brother, Dean (Gloria) Spencer of Evansville, IN; and a sister, Jacqueline (Mike) Minch of Portland, IN.

He was preceded in death by a sister and her husband, Beverly and Robert Shade; and a brother-in-law, Robert Urton.

Jimmy was a self-employed commercial truck driver who was hard-working and an entrepreneur.  He was an avid gardener and loved flowers.

Funeral Services will begin at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 27, 2018 at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township with Pastor Gary Beatty officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ottoville.  Visitation will be 2 to 6 p.m. on Friday and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.
