**A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024, from 1 to 5 p.m. at the American Legion Post 63, Ottawa.

Joan G. Foreman

OTTAWA - Joan G. Foreman, 72, of Ottawa, died Monday, December 18, 2023 at her residence. She was born on January 7, 1951, in Mechanicsburg, Ohio to the late Paul and Rosemary (Martz) Gannon. On October 16, 1971, she married Edward Neal Foreman, who preceded her in death on August 9, 2022.

She is survived by three children: Ellen (Nate) Elkins, David (Sandra) Foreman, both of Ottawa, and Andy (Carrie) Foreman of Leipsic; five grandchildren: Faith, Daniel, Lucy, William and Bryant; two siblings: Anne Gannon of Delray Beach, FL and Janet Cleaver of Moundsville, WV; and her grand dog, Abbie.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by four siblings: Margaret Jensen, Beth Guida, Ruth Holquist and Tom Gannon.

Joan attended Urbana University. Her occupations included working at the Urbana Citizen newspaper,  Manager of Northridge Swim Club in Springfield, OH, and Club Manager of American Legion Post 63 in Ottawa, OH. She loved collecting coins, and was an avid dog and history lover. She also loved Nascar, OSU Buckeyes, Cincinnati Bengals and Abba.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024, from 1 to 5 p.m. at the American Legion Post 63, Ottawa.  Arrangements are under the direction of LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Legion Post 63 Children's Christmas Party.
