Joan M. Kreinbrink

OTTAWA – Joan M. Kreinbrink, 92, of Ottawa died 6:55 p.m., Friday, December 29, 2023 at The Meadows of Ottawa.  She was born June 18, 1931 in Mount Vernon to the late Charles and Margaret (Dauphin) Way.  On November 8, 1952, she married Norbert "Whitey" Kreinbrink.  He died April 9, 2010.

Survivors include three children: Kevin Kreinbrink of Deshler, Lisa (Dan) Rieman of Ottawa and Cindy (Bill) Webken of Kalida; eight grandchildren: Tahlor (Storm Roberts) Kreinbrink, Jamie Rieman, Brooke (Matt) Hughes, Craig (Megan) Rieman, Kylie (Cody) Schnipke, Becky (Derek) Distel, Randy (Ashlee Walters) Webken and Michelle (Cody) Kleman; and twelve great-grandchildren: Silas, Slayde, Shylo, Maci, Deacon, Emma, Lincoln, Lennox, Zander, Callie, Meredith, Vivienne and one on the way.

She was also preceded in death by three siblings: Janet Black, James Way and Jack Way.

Joan graduated from St. Rita's School of Nursing in 1952 then practiced at St Rita's until nursing for Dr. Arthur P. Daniel and Dr. Sam K. Bansal both of Ottawa.  She later retired from Calvary Manor of Ottawa. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa.  Joan enjoyed arranging flowers, playing cards with friends and supporting her children and grandchildren in all school events and extracurricular activities.  She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be dearly missed.

Funeral mass will begin 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 4, 2024 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Fr. Scott Kramer officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m., Wednesday and one hour prior to the funeral Thursday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.  A scripture service will begin at 7: 50 p.m. Wednesday evening.

Memorial donations may be made to the Sts. Peter and Paul Parish Hall or O-G Titan Stadium.
