Joann B. Hoover
Continental - Joann B. Hoover, 94, of Continental, died at 9:55 a.m. Friday, May 23, 2014 at Vancrest Health Care, Holgate.  She was born May 14, 1920 in Defiance County, Ohio to the late Marion and Mary (Young) Bell.  On September 30, 1944, she married Cecil W. Hoover, who died August 15, 2008.
Joann is survived by her 2 daughters: Michele Stafford of Defiance and Jane (Gordon) Robinson of Beavercreek;  3 grandchildren: Sarah Stafford, Lisa (Joey) Buchanan, Meredith (Keith) Brining; 2 great-grandchildren: Benjamin and Harrison Robinson-Brining and a sister-in-law: Helen Frysinger of Napoleon.
Joann  was an Avon  sales representative  for 37 years.  She was a member of North Creek United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women's Society.  She graduated from Jewell High School and Davis Business College.  She formerly worked for Defiance Home Savings and Loan and Smith Studios.  She was a member of Defiance Twin Rivers Garden Club.
A funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m., Monday,  May 26, 2014 at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Continental with Pastor Mark McKay officiating.  Burial will follow at Independence Cemetery, Defiance.   Visitation will be from 12 noon till 1:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Association of Northwest Ohio or the charity of donor's choice.
