JoAnn Carder
OTTOVILLE – JoAnn Carder, 74, of Ottoville, died at 11:22 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. She was born February 7, 1938 in Monterey Township, Putnam County to the late Bruno and Genevieve (Ricker) Miller. On August 25, 1956, she married Richard H. Carder and he survives in Ottoville. Also surviving are 4 children: Ricky (Deb) Carder of Ottawa, Debra (Jim) Verhoff of Columbus Grove, Kathy McKee of Kent and John Carder of Ottoville; 11 grandchildren: Abigail (Kyle) Greve, Abbot Carder, Katrina Carder, Stephanie (Matthew) Ream, James (Tiffany) Verhoff, Christina Verhoff, Genevieve Verhoff, Anna Verhoff, Amanda (Cameron) Lee, Melissa McKee, and Sara McKee; 4 great-grandchildren: Arianna Ream, Cortland Ream, Jackson Greve, and Addison Greve; and 2 brothers: Roger (Marianne) Miller of Ottoville, Stanley (Darlene) Miller of Ottawa.
JoAnn retired as housekeeper and cook for Immaculate Conception Parish and also as a meat cutter at The Village Market in Ottoville. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville and the Altar Rosary Society. She enjoyed reading, swimming, cooking, baking, gardening and playing cards but mostly loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 22, 2012 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville with Fr. John Stites officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ottoville. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township (on the corner of Rts 224 and 634).
