OTTAWA - JoAnn M. Maag, 82, of Ottawa died 3:30 p.m. Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay. She was born July 21, 1938 in Columbus Grove to the late Lester and Veronica (Mershman) Karcher. On August 25, 1956 she married Leonard Maag, who preceded her in death on September 25, 1999.
She is survived by 2 children: Donna (Jerry Stuber) Schroeder and Jerry Maag, both of Ottawa; 2 grandchildren: Veronica Behrns of Ottawa and Aaron Glass of Leipsic; 3 great-grandchildren: Kailey, Jaylen and Madeline Behrns; a great-great-grandson: Zaiden Behrns; and 2 sisters: Norma Green of Lima and Marilyn (Dan) Vermillion of Findlay.
She is preceded in death by 2 brothers: Karl Karcher and Don Karcher and a brother-in-law: Ralph Green.
JoAnn retired from Philips, Ottawa after 32 years. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa. JoAnn loved family time, campfires and cookouts. She enjoyed caring for her flowers and her cat, Tigger.
JoAnn's funeral mass will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Father Scott Kramer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa. Due to restrictions regarding COVID-19, masks and social distancing are required at both the funeral home and church.
