JoAnn C. Averesch

OTTAWA – JoAnn C. Averesch, 80, of Ottawa passed away at 11:27 a.m., Monday January 2, 2023 at Mercy Health St. Rita's Ambulatory Care Center, Glandorf. She was born May 14, 1942 in Botkins, Ohio to the late John and Emma (Lindhaus) Kramer.  On June 10, 1967, she married Jerome "Romie" Averesch, who preceded her in death on November 9, 1994.

Survivors include three children: Jerry (Rachael) Averesch of Ottawa, Jason (Deanna) Averesch of Kalida and Justin Averesch of Ottawa; six grandchildren: Emma Averesch, Anna Averesch, both of Ottawa, Jaydreanna Hoyt of Dayton, Kyla Hoyt of Paulding, Makenna Hoyt of Ottawa, and Alysen Hoyt of Kalida; three great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law: Camille Kramer of Wapakoneta, Nancy Kramer of Botkins and Linda Kramer of Wapakoneta; and one brother-in-law, Carl "Wendell" Fronk of Uhrichsville.

She was also preceded in death by seven siblings: Paul (Alma) Kramer, Ivo Kramer, Kenny Kramer, Myron "Mick" Kramer, Irene (Clyde) Shaffer, Rita Fronk and Gloria (Al) Bauer.

JoAnn retired from Philips, Ottawa. She enjoyed traveling, going for walks, landscaping, gardening, small animals, especially her dogs.  JoAnn loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her family.

Funeral mass will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 6, 2023 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Fr. Scott Kramer officiating.  Burial will follow at the church cemetery.  Visitation will be from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. on Thursday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa and again on Friday from 12 – 1 p.m. at the church.
