JoAnn Kahle, OFS
KALIDA – JoAnn Kahle, OFS, 60, of Kalida, passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2025. She was born August 26, 1965, in Lima to Donald and Alice (Clement) Kahle, her father is deceased, her mother survives in Kalida.
JoAnn is survived by three siblings: Jerry (Noralu) Kahle of Pandora, Lori Kahle of Kalida, and Brad Kahle of Pandora; niece: Abigail (Jon) Mikesell; a nephew: Michael (Maricella) Kahle; and a great-niece: Autumn Mikesell, and one on the way.
She is preceded in death by a brother, Ted Kahle.
JoAnn was a member of the 3rd order St. Maximillion Kolbe Franciscan Fraternity. She enjoyed feeding the birds, squirrels and other small animals. JoAnn was very devoted to the Blessed Virgin Mary. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kalida and St. Gerard Catholic Church, Lima. JoAnn loved to cook and try new recipes. She loved her family and friends, especially her great-niece, Autumn.
Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, September 15, 2025, at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kalida with Fr. Phil Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 2 to 8 p.m. with a Franciscan Service at 6:30 p.m. and a rosary service at 7:15 p.m.; and a short visitation on Monday from 9 to 10 a.m. at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township.
Memorial donations may be made to Mary's Meals or charity of the donor's choice.
