Jody Douglas Howell GROVER HILL – Jody Douglas Howell, 50, of Grover Hill, passed away at 1:46 p.m. on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Lutheran Hospital, Ft. Wayne, Indiana.  He was born August 15, 1974, in Monroe, North Carolina to Jerry and Barbara (Rochester) Howell, his father is deceased, his mother survives in Monroe, North Carolina. He is also survived by two sons: Jacob Daniel Howell, and Jordan Gabriel Howell; three siblings:  Genia (Ron) Schaffer, and Jamie Howell, both of Monroe, North Carolina, and Amanda (Anthony) DeCicco of Jacksonville, North Carolina. Jody worked as a diesel mechanic at Haviland Drainage Products, Haviland.  He was the former co-owner of H & H Expedite, Monroe, North Carolina.  Jody loved and collected trains. Funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at Bible Baptist Church, Grover Hill with Pastor Patrick Holt officiating.  Burial will be held in Lakeland Memorial Park, Monroe, North Carolina at a later date.  A visitation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. on Sunday at the church.  Arrangements are under the direction of HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Oakwood.
