JOHN R. BINKLEY
LEIPSIC, Formerly of TOLEDO – John R. Binkley, 88 of Leipsic, formerly of Toledo, died 9:30 a.m., Saturday, June 28, 2014 at the Meadows of Leipsic.  He was born June 8, 1926 in Fremont, to the late Edward Amos and Enid Lenore (Donahue) Binkley.  On September 19, 1953, he married Margaret McLaughlin and she survives in Leipsic.
Also surviving are two daughters: Deb (Steve) Chausky of Sarasota, FL and Denise (Tim) Eding of Leipsic; 5 grandchildren: Cari Lynn (Alan) Caraway, Chad (Jessica) Chausky, Tim (Jacie) Eding, Andy (Stacey) Eding and Matt (Stephanie) Eding; 11 great-grandchildren: Colton, Logan and Landon Caraway, Madalynn and Cayla Chausky, Jake and Luke Eding, Cody and Abigail Eding, Ross and Elizabeth Eding; a sister, Mildred Grace Hammer of Lindsey and a brother, Glenn (Gladys) Binkley of Fremont.
He was preceded in death by three brothers: Robert, Donald and Eugene Binkley; and a granddaughter, Amy Beth Chausky.
John retired after 35 years as Superintendent at the water treatment plant for the City of Toledo.  He was a WWII Navy Veteran, a member of First Christian Church, Leipsic, Rubicon Lodge of the Free and Accepted Masons of Toledo, Zenobia Shrine serving in the Jeepster unit and the Scottish Rite of Toledo.  He enjoyed woodworking and toy making.
A Memorial Service will begin 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at First Christian Church in Leipsic with Pastor Tim Eding and Pastor Matt Eding co-officiating.  Friends may call from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday at the church.  Arrangements are under the direction of LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic.
