John J. Ranes, Jr.

LEIPSIC – John J. Ranes, Jr., 92, of Leipsic died at 5:35 A.M. Sunday, August 20, 2017 at his residence. He was born August 11, 1925 in Continental to the late John and Edith (Grant) Ranes, Sr. On May 28,1943 he married Hazel Van Horn and she died May 9, 2004.   Surviving is a son: Bill (Donna) Ranes of Leipsic and 6 grandchildren.

John retired from Philips in Ottawa after 30 years.

A funeral service will be held at 6:00 P.M. Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Love-Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Leipsic with Pastor Tim Eding officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. until time of service Thursday. Burial will be at a later date at West Belmore Cemetery.
