John H. Siefer

KALIDA – John H. Siefer, 68, of Kalida, died Monday, February 6, 2023 at his residence.  He was born March 30, 1954 in Lima to the late Walter Frank and Elizabeth (Michel) Siefer. On April 3, 1976, he married Kay Kroeger, who survives in Kalida.

Other survivors include three children: Michelle Siefer, Doug (Dawn) Siefer and Kevin (Melissa) Siefer; four grandchildren: Alex, Ella, Grant and Charity; three brothers: Don (Paula) Siefer, Jim Siefer and Dan (Sheila) Siefer; a sister-in-law, Judy Siefer; and father-in-law, Jerry Kroeger.

He was also preceded in death by two sisters: Rita (Bob) Ogle and Mary Ann Siefer; and four brothers: Robert (Pat) Siefer, Frank Siefer, Harold Siefer and Dick (Bernadette) Siefer.

John retired from Ottawa Tire after more than 20 years of service. He was a member of the Ottawa Eagles and liked hunting and spending time outside. John loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

A memorial service will begin 7:00 p.m., Friday, February 10, 2023 at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa with Fr. Scott Kramer officiating. Visitation will be from 4 – 7 p.m. on Friday prior to the service at the funeral home.
