John W. Sullivan
MILLER CITY - John W. Sullivan  85, of Miller City died 11:45 a.m. Sunday, November 3, 2013 at The Meadows of Putnam Acres. He was born March 5, 1928 in Continental, to the late Kegon and Mary (Miller) Sullivan. On July 19, 1952 he married Theresa Jane Kern who survives in Ottawa.
Surviving are his children: Timothy Sullivan, Miller City, Rebecca (William) Palte, Columbus Grove; 1 granddaughter: Cortney (Trevor) Mumaugh; 2 great-grandchildren Alexia Mumaugh and Adalena Mumaugh; and a sister Patricia "June" Niese, West Leipsic.
John retired from Philips in 1987, was a member of the Miller City American Legion, and the Miller City Sportsmans Club. He was the first fire Chief and a charter member of the Miller City Fire Department. John was an avid Ham Radio Operator under the call letters KB80QI. He was a U.S. Army WWII veteran.
A Mass of Christian burial will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at St. Nicholas, Miller City, Fr. Stephen Schroeder officiating. Military and Fire Department services will be provided by Miller City American Legion and Miller City Fire Department. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 5, 2013 from 2 to 8 p.m. at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where there will be a scripture service at 2:00p.m. and a fire department service at 7:00 p.m..
Memorials may be made to the Miller City Fire Department.
