John Sybert, Jr.
OTTAWA - John Sybert, Jr., 83, of Ottawa died at 12:02 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. He was born March 5, 1930 in Kalida to the late John and Mildred (Downing) Sybert.
He is survived by 2 brothers: Herbert Sybert of Arkansas and Franklin (Sandy) Sybert of O'Fallon, MO.; and several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother: Robert Sybert and 2 sisters: Esther Warnecke and Alice Sybert.
John was retired from Dana Corp in Toledo. He was a Navy veteran of WWII and a member of Ottawa VFW and Columbus Grove American Legion. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Ottawa.
Funeral services will be held 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2013 at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa with Pastor Lynda Lockwood officiating. Burial will be in Pearl Harbor at a later date. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home on Saturday where there will be a VFW service at 7 p.m. There will be military rites by Ottawa VFW and Columbus Grove American Legion after the funeral service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
