John T. "Jack" Williams

OTTAWA – John T. "Jack" Williams, 71, of Ottawa, died at 12:29 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at Mercy Health St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.  He was born November 27, 1950 in Lima to the late Dewey and Rose (White) Williams.  On June 14, 2008, he married Michelle Biclawski, who survives in Ottawa.

Other survivors include six children:  Kassi Williams of Van Wert, Shana Williams of Glandorf, Patrick Williams of Manhattan, New York, Lupe Williams of Findlay, Jocelyn Williams and Jacquelyn Williams, both at home; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, Robert (Doris) Williams of Ottawa; and one sister, Marsha (Rick) Laubenthal of Ottawa.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Stephen Brandon Williams.

Jack received a Bachelor's Degree from Ohio State University and a Master's Degree from Bowling Green State University. He taught at Ottawa-Glandorf High School and was an adjunct professor at the University of Findlay and Lima Correction Center.  Jack held several jobs before following in his father's footsteps, becoming the Village of Ottawa Municipal Director.  He loved the Village of Ottawa and was devoted to this career for over 46 years. Jack was an avid reader, loved meeting and talking to people and had a way of making everyone feel special. He loved his job and his community, but always said, "Family comes first."  Jack attended Faith Baptist Church in Ottawa, as well as Christian Assembly Worship Center in Lima.

A funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at Ottawa-Glandorf High School Auditorium with Pastor Denny Coates and Pastor Rich Biclawski officiating. Burial will follow at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Ottawa.  Visitation will be from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m., Saturday, March 5, 2022 at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa and Sunday from 1:30 p.m. – 2 p.m. at the high school.

Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
