John Soo Yon Kim

OTTAWA – John Soo Yon Kim, 81, of Ottawa died at 7:47 p.m. on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Mercy Health St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, Ohio. He was born to the late Hyeong-Ho and Sun-Nyeo Kim. On October 19, 1968, he married Ann S. Kim.

He is survived by his children: Kathy H. Duling and Edward S. Kim; one sister: Youngja Kim; two brothers: Kwangyun Kim and Junjeon Kim.

He is preceded in death by one sister: Moonja Kim.

John was an amateur photographer, cycling enthusiast, dedicated husband, father, brother, uncle and his grandkids "Papa."  He was always up for trying new things; whether it was scuba diving at Epcot, swimming, trying his hand at golf and was always ready to spend time with his grandkids.  As he started to slow down over the years, he enjoyed time spent at the  Ottawa YMCA.  Every morning was spent with his wife Ann exercising at the Y and then home for lunch.

The family will hold a private service on Saturday, December 19, 2020. The arrangements are under the direction of LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
