Johnny James Alvarado

CONTINENTAL – Johnny James Alvarado, 57, of Continental, died 4:40 p.m., Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Mercy Heath St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima. He was born February 13, 1969, in Lima to Pete and Minnie (Hernandez) Alvarado. His father is deceased. His mother survives in Continental.

Other survivors include siblings: Dave Alvarado of Marion, Paul (Julie) Alvarado of Houston, TX, and Robert (Christi) Alvarado of Continental; and many nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, James Alvarado.

Johnny loved to watch TV, especially Judge Judy and playing with his pet dog, Casper. He enjoyed balloons, stuffed animals and spending time with his family and with friends at Brookhill.

Funeral service will begin at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, March 12, 2026, at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Continental with Fr. Phil Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Monroe Cemetery, Continental. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the funeral Thursday at the funeral home.
