Jose Ybarra

LEIPSIC - Jose Ybarra, 96, of Leipsic, died 7:08 p.m., Thursday, June 16, 2016 at Putnam County Ambulatory Care Center, Glandorf.  He was born February 20, 1920 in Goose Creek, TX to the late Marcial and Refugia (Ramirez)Ybarra.  On April 25, 1945, he married Elvira Olivo and she survives in Leipsic.

Also surviving are twelve children: Maria  Briley of Leipsic, Marselino (Leticia) Ybarra of El Paso, TX, Alicia (Erasmo) Enriquez of Houston, TX, Gloria (Ramiro) Godinez of Bryan, TX, Letisia (Julian) Ayala of Leipsic, Antonio Ybarra of Defiance, Amalia (John) Sanchez of Big Spring, TX, Pablo Ybarra of Leipsic, Carmen Rubio of Leipsic, Jose A. Ybarra of Leipsic, Margie (Joe) Chadwick of Vilseck, Germany and Daniel Tijerina of Leipsic; forty-one grandchildren; ninety-three great-grandchildren and thirteen great-great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by two daughters: Anna Marie Ybarra and Jacinta Ybarra, a Son: Gerardo Ybarra and two brothers: Pablo Ybarra and Martin Ybarra, a Son-In-Law Paul Briley.

Jose retired from Libby's and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic.

Funeral service will begin 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Love-Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Leipsic with Deacon Ben Valdez.  Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Leipsic.  Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday and 2-8 p.m. Wednesday.  A rosary service will begin at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday night.
