Joseph "Cecil" Burwell

LEIPSIC- Joseph "Cecil" Burwell, 62, of Leipsic died at 7:04 p.m. Monday, January 4, 2021 at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay.  He was born June 22, 1958 in Leipsic to the late Pete and Betty (Stant) Burwell.

Cecil is survived by a son: Ryan (Summer Rodriguez) Burwell; and two granddaughters: Rhylin and Rorie Burwell.

He is preceded in death by a brother, William Burwell; and an infant sister.

Cecil worked for Ward Materials.  He was Bruce's "right hand man" at Liberty Lanes.  He was very close with Austin Chamberlin and Juan "Jar" Coronado II, they treated him like a father.  Cecil had been sober for 16 years.

A funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 9, 2021 at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic. Burial will follow in Sugar Ridge Cemetery, Leipsic.  In keeping with the social distancing guidelines, a visitation will be Friday, 4 to 8 p.m. and again Saturday at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Masks will be required upon entering the funeral home.
