Joyce S. Estle

Joyce S. Estle, age 76, Oakwood, died at 9:15 p.m. Wednesday, September 16, 2015, at the Brookview Healthcare Center in Defiance, Ohio. She was born in Grover Hill, Ohio, on February 24, 1939, the daughter of Austin E. and Margarite E. (Stahl) Bair. On May 20th, 1955, she married Marvin L. Estle, who survives.

She was the owner/operator of Sleepy Hollow Beauty Shop, a real estate agent for Straley Realty and helped her husband build many homes around the Oakwood area. She attended the Melrose United Methodist Church of Melrose, Ohio, and the Oakwood United Methodist Church of Oakwood, Ohio.

Joyce is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Marvin "Doc" Estle of Oakwood; five sons, Michael  Estle of Defiance, Ohio, C. Richard "Rick" (Lana) Estle of Oakwood, Ohio, Robert (Cheri) Estle of Oakwood, Ohio, James Estle of Defiance, Ohio, Lance (Nicole) Estle of Oakwood, Ohio; daughter, Amy Estle of Columbus, Ohio; a brother, Robert "Dib" Bair of Melrose, Ohio; 19 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Rex Sherry; a brother and sister-in-law, Charles E. "Junior" and Roberta Bair; a sister-in-law, Patricia Bair; and two grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 3, 2015, at Twin Oaks United Methodist Church, Oakwood, with Pastor Eileen Kochensparger officiating. Visitation will be held an hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made to Paulding County Hospital Home Health.
