Joyce M. Brinkman

LEIPSIC – Joyce M. Brinkman, 73, of Leipsic, passed away at 4:22 p.m. on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay. She was born November 22, 1952, in Belmore to the late Paul and Wilma (Morris) Prowant. On December 12, 1988, she married Carl Brinkman, who preceded her in death on April 1, 2012.

Joyce is survived by two daughters: Shannon Kimmet of Leipsic, and Cassie Brinkman of Cape Canaveral, FL; two stepsons: DeWayne (Mary) Brinkman of Greer, SC., and Shannon Brinkman of Cape Canaveral, FL; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a brother: Tyrone (Carla) Prowant of Jacksonville, AR.

She is preceded in death by a son, Dan Kimmet.

Joyce was the owner of Double J Bar, Leipsic and had worked at the Meadows of Leipsic as a dietary aide. She was a lifetime member of the Ottawa VFW Auxiliary. Joyce enjoyed spending time with her family and her dog, Rusty.

Funeral Service will begin at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic. Burial will follow in McComb Union Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 10 to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
