OTTOVILLE – Joyce A. Miller, 74, of Ottoville, passed away at 5:29 p.m., Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at Advent Health Medical Center, Port Charlotte, FL. She was born October 15, 1951, in Ottoville to the late Elmer and Ruth (Eickholt) Horstman. On July 10, 1976, she married Larry J. Miller, who survives in Ottoville.
Other survivors include a son, Andrew Miller of Ottoville; eight brothers and sisters: Linda (Karl) Boecker of Ottoville, Ron (Janice) Horstman of Miller City, Karen (Don) Schnipke of Cloverdale, Nick (Jane) Horstman of Ottoville, Nancy (Larry) Kroeger of Landeck, Donna (Tom) Schimmoller of Ottoville, Janice (Mark) Bendele of Kalida and Dan (Lynn) Horstman of Ottoville.
Joyce retired from Van Wert County License Bureau. She enjoyed collecting things and was especially fond of Nativity Sets. She also made and donated patchwork quilts to Heartbeat of Lima and Putnam County. Joyce loved sewing, going to garage sales, playing cards and reading. She was known for her homemade noodles and was everyone’s favorite aunt.
Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m., Monday, March 9, 2026, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville with Very Reverend George Mahas officiating. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. at St. John Cemetery, Landeck. Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. on Sunday and 9 to 10 a.m. on Monday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township. A scripture service will be held at 1:45 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
