Joyce Marie Sispera OTTAWA – Joyce Marie Sispera, 91, of Ottawa, passed away at 3:08 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at The Meadows of Ottawa.  She was born September 29, 1933, in Lima to the late William J. and Luella (Gerschutz) Unterbrink. Joyce had three marriages: Marcellinus Wolke, Claude Rothman and Frank Sispera, all of which preceded her in death. She is survived by five children: Marsha (William) Leslie of Highlands Ranch, CO, Debra J. Wolke of Kenton, Donna (Ned) Laubenthal of Ottawa, Mona Lisa (Bob) Hoffman of Miller City, and Tracy Herrin of Paducah, KY; nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and a sister, Joan Koenig of Columbus. In addition to her parents and spouses, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Wanda Cutlip; two sons-in-law: Tom Cutlip and Joe MacDonald; and a brother-in-law, Robert Koenig. Joyce retired from General Motors, Defiance on January 1, 1984. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf, where she was a lay minister and former CCD teacher. She was also a member and past president of the C. L. of C. Joyce enjoyed being a reading coach for many kids and adults and had a passion for gardening. She received the Putnam County Personality Baby Award on April 14, 1937.  In her later years, she received the Hospital Volunteer of the Year Award in Monticello, KY.  Joyce loved spending time with her family and friends, and meeting with the "Domino Ladies" weekly. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 10, 2025, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf with Fr. Matt Keller officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. on Friday, May 9, 2025, with a parish rosary service beginning at 6:30 p.m. at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
