Joyce M. Warnimont

LEIPSIC – Joyce M. Warnimont, 86, of Leipsic, passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at The Meadows of Ottawa. She was born on July 17, 1939, in Ottawa, Ohio to the late Martin and Ruth (Noirot) Walker.

Joyce married Ken Warnimont, who became her loving husband of 56 years. He passed away on January 11, 2018. Survivors include two sons: Greg (Sandy) Warnimont of Leipsic and Brian Warnimont of Rockwood, Michigan; three daughters: Annette (Doug) Dewar of Bowling Green, Pam (Tony) Brown of Leipsic and Cheri (Brett) Gibbs of Findlay; eight grandchildren: Matt (Sara), Todd (Amy) and Megan Warnimont, Brooke and Alaina Brown, Cooper and Kylie Warnimont, Owen Gibbs; two step-grandchildren: Blake and Graham Gibbs; and five great-grandchildren: Colton Mantel, Lina, Hannah, Bryce and Jake Warnimont; and four deceased grandchildren: Brett Warnimont, Haley and Cameron Dewar and Alexandra Brown.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers: Tom and Jim Walker; and two sisters, Jane Kruse and Betty Felter.

Joyce was a homemaker most of her life. She often talked about her secretarial job at the Ohio Power Company in Lima that she enjoyed very much, but that was short-lived due to moving so much. Once the children were all in school, she went back to work in the Produce Department at the Leipsic IGA of which her husband co-owned for 40 years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, where she served on the Altar Rosary Society and helped with the funeral dinners. She was also a member of the Leipsic Eagles Auxiliary and the Leipsic VFW. She loved traveling, bowling, cooking, spending time with family and friends, and was a very talented seamstress.

Visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, September 19, 2025, at St. Mary's Parish Life Center, Leipsic. The funeral mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Leipsic. Arrangements are under the direction of LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic.

Memorial contributions in Joyce's name may be made to St. Mary's School, Leipsic.
