Judith M. Ranes
OTTAWA – Judith M. Ranes, 72, of Ottawa, died at 11:45 pm Friday, June 29, 2012 at the Meadows of Kalida.  She was born November 19, 1939 in Deshler to the late Torrence and Helen (Zollars) Firman. On November 2, 1956 she married Martin Ranes and he survives in Ottawa.  Also surviving are 4 children: Launita (Marvin) Steiner of Pandora, David Ranes of Mandel, Thomas Ranes of Lima and Sara Warnecke of Cloverdale; 8 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 4 sisters: Barbara McDonald of Crystal Lake, IL, Belinda (William) Botjer of Deshler, Sandy Blevins of Genoa and Daunita Gregoire of California, MD. She was preceded in death also by 2 sisters: Janet Moak and Frances Firman; and a brother Torrence Firman.
Judy retired from Philips in Ottawa.  She enjoyed sewing, baking, boating, fishing and especially shopping.  She loved wintering in Florida with her husband. She was the best grandma ever.
A memorial service will begin at 1 pm Sunday, July 8, 2012 at Love-Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Leipsic with Rev. Tom Graves officiating.  Visitation will be one hour
prior to service at the funeral home.
