Judith M. (Unverferth) Blankemeyer

Judith M. Blankemeyer, age 79, went to be with her Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ, on November 3, 2021, in Columbus, Ohio. Judith was born July 8, 1942 to Alfred and Agatha (Maag) Unverferth who both preceded her in death. On June 20, 1964, she married the love of her life Robert L. Blankemeyer who passed away on June 1, 2011.

Judith was a graduate of Kalida High School, class of 1960. She spent her life devoted to her husband, children, and grandchildren. Her heart was dedicated to charity work as she spent a lifetime working and traveling with Christian ministries all over the world including Africa, China, and Afghanistan. She was a very active member of Aglow International serving on the board for several years. She spent much of her life outside whether on the farm, in the garden, playing tennis or on the golf course. Her family will miss her smile, laugh and hugs the most.

Judith is survived by her siblings: Kenneth (Carolyn) Unverferth and Carol (Tom) Recker both of Kalida, OH.; her 5 children: Kathy Blankemeyer, of Columbus, OH., Dennis (Denise) Blankemeyer, of Columbus, OH., Kurt (Kate) Blankemeyer, of Dublin, OH., Lynn (Nathan) Schulte, of Bettendorf, IA.,  Beth (Scott) Warnecke, of Kalida, OH.; her 12 grandchildren: Brooke (Bradley) Schwass, Jacob and Faith Blankemeyer, Nickolas Bellamio, Will Blankemeyer, Rosetta, Xavier, Glorianna and Lilyana Schulte and Lincoln, Mason, and Reed Warnecke.

Preceded in death by an infant daughter Josephine Blankemeyer; sisters-in-law: Carolyn Unverferth and Patricia Donaldson and brothers-in-law: Norman Blankemeyer, William Blankemeyer, Daniel Blankemeyer and Joseph Blankemeyer.

A celebration of life service will begin at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 6, 2021 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kalida. Christian burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 - 8 p.m. Friday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township.
