Obituary

Judy A. Schroeder GLANDORF - Judy A. Schroeder, 84, of Glandorf, passed away at 8:35 a.m., Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at The Meadows of Ottawa surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 19, 1940 in New Cleveland to the late Gilbert and Bernadine (Gerschutz) Ellerbrock. On August 9, 1958, she married Gilbert "Gib" Schroeder, son of the late Victor and Cecilia Schroeder. Judy is survived by her husband, Gib of Glandorf; their four children: Rickey Schroeder of the Philippines, Cindy Schroeder of Glandorf, David Schroeder of St. Mary's and Rodney Schroeder of Glandorf; three grandchildren: Joshua (Nichole) Schroeder of Glandorf, Courtney (Lucas) Weis of Glandorf and Hannah (Adam) Lithgow of Warsaw, IN; six great-grandchildren: CJ Schroeder, Madalynn Schroeder, Brooklynn Schroeder, AJ Schroeder, Carly Weis and Avery Weis; a brother: Tony (Shirley) Ellerbrock of Riverview, MI; and a sister-in-law, Mary Lou Ellerbrock of Leipsic. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers: Bob Ellerbrock and William Ellerbrock. Judy graduated from Miller City High School in 1958. She worked at Campbell Soup Co. and later went on to work in the Accounting Department at Unverferth Manufacturing Co., Kalida,  where she retired.  She was a former founding committee member of the Putnam County YMCA, member of Glandorf St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and its Altar Rosary Society, Glandorf Catholic Ladies of Columbia, Leipsic Fishing and Hunting Club Officer, Putnam County Hospice volunteer, and former Alley Twisters Bowling team member and secretary.  Judy enjoyed playing cards, crocheting, reading, and baking her famous Ho-Ho cakes for special occasions. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 29, 2024 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf with Fr. Matt Keller officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday prior to the Mass at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa. Memorial donations may be made to Putnam County Hospice. Condolences may be expressed at www.lovefuneralhome.com
