Julia K. Brickner

OTTAWA - Julia K. Brickner, 80, of Ottawa died at 11:19 p.m. Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at The Meadows of Ottawa. She was born April 7, 1936 in Lima to the late Norbert W. and Alma T. (Baumgartner) Brinkman. On November 19, 1971, she married  Howard C. Brickner who died January 31, 2016.

She is survived by her sisters and brothers, Patricia Hughes of Lima, Eugene Brinkman of Columbus, James Brinkman of Dayton, Anita Meredith of Arizona, Richard Brinkman of Lima, Robert Brinkman of Cridersville, Charles Brinkman of California, and Mary Ellen Grothaus of Columbus. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Hecht; a brother, Donald Brinkman; and a brother-in-law, Paul Grothaus.

Julia was a graduate of St. Rose High School, Lima; Good Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing, Cincinnati; and Defiance College, Defiance. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, New Cleveland.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Holy Family Catholic Church, New Cleveland with Fr. Stephen Schroeder officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
