Julianna M. Maas
OTTAWA – Julianna M. Maas, 80, of Ottawa died at 2:05 p.m. Thursday, January 12, 2012 at her residence. She was born February 12, 1931 in Greensburg Township to the late Albert F. and Eleonora C. (Kerner) Warnecke. On May 11, 1957 she married Donald Maas who survives in Ottawa.
Also surviving are 5 sons: Terrence (Shari) Maas of Ottawa, Steven (Kathryn) Maas of Ottawa, Joseph (Sandy) Maas of Columbus Grove, Kevin (Karen) Maas of Ottawa and Dennis (Pam) Maas of Ottawa; 13 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren on the way. She was also preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law: Alma and Jerome Schmitz.
Julianna was a retired cook for Ottawa-Glandorf High School. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa and its Altar Rosary Society and Holy Family, New Cleveland Catholic Ladies of Columbia. She was a member of Ottawa-Glandorf Athletic Boosters and an avid Ottawa-Glandorf fan. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 16, 2012 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Fr. Matt Jozefiak officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where there will be a scripture service at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday and a CLC service 7:30 pm Sunday.
Memorials may be made to Putnam County Hospice or to St. Joseph Indian School, South Dakota, 1301 N. Main St, Chamberlain, SD 57325.
