CONTINENTAL – June E. Ruen, 85, of Continental died 5:40 a.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.
She was born June 16, 1926 in Putnam County to the late Leslie and Grace (Grant) Donaldson.  On December 7, 1957, she married Eugene "Pee Wee" Ruen, who died in 2000.
Survivors include a son, Michael (Linda) Shaffer of Defiance; two daughters, Toni (Charlie) Jones and Roxie (Jan) Knipp both of Continental; 5 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Milfred Donaldson; and 2 sisters, Norine Procise and Betty Carnahan.
June retired in 1989 from Zeller Corp., Defiance.  She was a member of Continental American Legion Auxiliary Post 541 and New Bavaria Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post 8847.
Funeral Service will begin at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 15, 2012 at Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Continental with Pastor Charles Eagle officiating.  Burial will be at a later date in Monroe Cemetery, Continental.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home where a Legion Auxiliary Service will be held at 7 p.m.
