Junilla C. Karhoff
Glandorf -- Junilla C. Karhoff, 91, of Glandorf went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 27, 2015 at 2:52 p.m. at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She had a heart of gold, always smiling and loved by many. She was known as a Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother and Great-great-grandmother and sister to many. (Love You More). She was born November 9, 1923 in New Cleveland to the late August and Frances (Maag) Schroeder. On May 8, 1946 she married Virgil Karhoff, who preceded her in death on July 27, 2001.
She is survived by her 4 sons: Robert (Sue) Karhoff of Kalida, Richard (Nancy) Karhoff of Continental, John (Lynn) Karhoff of St. Louis, MO., Dave (Jill) Karhoff of Glandorf; 6 daughters: Jane Ranes of Ottawa, Doris (Geoffrey) Wolfrom of Pandora, Mary Ann (Gary) Butler of Leipsic, Carol (Steve) Henderson of Bluffton, Judy (Ted) Shalter of Glandorf and Marie (Tim) Hermiller of Miller City; 29 grandchildren: 39 great-grandchildren: 2 great-great-grandchildren; a brother: Donatus (Margaret) Schroeder of New Bavaria; a sister: Ruth Klear of Glandorf; a sister-in-law: Angela Schroeder of Kalida and a special niece, Kristine Karhoff of Napoleon.
She is preceded in death by her brother: Alphonse Schroeder and Brother-in-law: Gene Klear.
Junilla worked for Glandorf Inn and Calvary Manor in the laundry department. She was a member of St. John The Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf and its Altar Rosary Society. She was a member of Ottawa's VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She volunteered at the Senior Citizen Center and local nursing home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf with Fr. Tony Fortman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa, where there will be a scripture service at 1:45 p.m., a VFW Auxiliary service at 7:00 p.m. and rosary service at 7:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Rita's Hospice or St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
