Karen (Grote) Eickholt

FT. JENNINGS – Karen (Grote) Eickholt, 59, of Ft. Jennings, passed away at 4:10 p.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at her sister's residence. She was born February 8, 1965, in Lima to the late Norbert and Ruth (Broecker) Grote.  She was previously married to Joe Eickholt.

Karen is survived by eight siblings: Dennis Grote of Cloverdale, Patricia (Robert) Risner of Elida, Michael (Sharon) Grote of Ottoville, Diane (Jeff) McDougle, Jean (Mike) Lyons, both of Delphos, David Grote, Timothy (Kara) Grote, both of Ottoville and Kenneth (Connie Rosselit) Grote of Kalida; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers: Steven Grote and Norman Grote; and her favorite beloved cat, Jazz.

Karen worked for the former TMD/Grammer, Delphos. She was a member of the UAW, Ft. Jennings American Legion Auxiliary and Flatlanders Dressage and Combined Training Association. She loved cats and enjoyed horseback riding.

Funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, August 30, 2024 at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township with Chaplain Herb Welker officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Ottoville. Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Friday prior to the service at the funeral home.
