Karen Agnes Hammer

OTTAWA  - Karen Agnes Hammer, 70, of Ottawa, passed away at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at The Meadows of Ottawa. She was born September 14, 1952 in Fostoria to the late Benedict and Marie (Steinhauser) Hammer.

Karen is survived by her daughter, Bernadette Kolver; two stepdaughters: Sharon Hoy and Donna Siebenaller; two grandchildren: Hailey and Brock; a great-granddaughter, Flora; five siblings: Mike Hammer, Lois Menard, Dave Hammer, Jim Hammer and Jennie Lane; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Karen was a graduate of Fostoria St. Wendelin High School. She was a homemaker and enjoyed baking pies, drinking coffee and making people laugh. Karen loved spending time with her cats and collecting dolls.

Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Fr. Scott Kramer officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
