Karen E. Schnipke
LEIPSIC – Karen E. Schnipke, 80, of Leipsic, was called to her eternal home with Jesus at 10:15 a.m., Sunday, December 28, 2025 at Van Crest of Holgate. She was born May 30, 1945 in Findlay to the late Paul and Dorotha (Kagy) Schweitzer. She had been married to Gerald Schnipke who survives in North Baltimore.
Other survivors include seven children: Christine Shively of Holgate, Chris (Mike) Butler and Roger (Erin) Schnipke both of Leipsic, Lisa (Robbin) Carnahan of Continental, Jen (Mike) Brecht, Deb (Tim) Butler and Bob (Jamie) Schnipke all of Leipsic; 26 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marlene Moore of Freemont, IN.
She was also preceded in death by a son, William Schnipke; a granddaughter, Audrey Katelyn Schnipke; and two great-granddaughters: Faith Breelyn Rieman and Meredith Athena Pappas.
Karen was a homemaker, had worked as a home health aide and had been a carrier for the Findlay Courier. Her church home was Leipsic Methodist Church. Mom loved her family with her whole heart, she beamed with happiness at all her family’s get-togethers, but especially when she was able to snuggle the little ones. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were the focus of her world. She was the kind of person who always put others before herself and found joy in helping others and never asked for anything in return. She taught us the true meaning of family, faith and unconditional love. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, resilience and devotion that will continue to guide us. Thou we will miss her deeply we find peace knowing she is reunited with loved ones and resting
Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at Leipsic Methodist Church with Pastor Laurie Beaty officiating. Burial will follow in Center Cemetery, Leipsic. Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m., Tuesday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
